But, I mailed something to net.sf-lovers along time ago (when this subject was fresh) and recently learned that our uucp was on the fritz so the message never left my site. So, here we go again... Some people have suggested, and I agree, that the "Other" is non other (sorry) then Boba Fett, the bounty hunter. I feel this to be true for a number of reasons: o What about Han? We all would agree that he is too dashing a rogue to be butchered while hanging around in a block of ice! Boba Fett will thaw poor Han and discretely insert him back into the warmer set. o Lets say you were a Jedi of immense stature you were not sure if others on your side were still around. What better guise to operate under then a friend of the Empire, be someone so nasty as to place yourself out of suspicion? o Why did Vader put up with the insolence of Boba Fett? Two possibilities. First, perhaps Vader considered the role Fett was playing (carting away Han Solo) was important enough to put up with some gruff. Not likely. Vader really couldn't give a bleep what happened to Han. Second, improbable but interesting, Vader was manipulated via the force by Fett into agreeing. Vader would never suspect that he was manipulated since to his knowledge he is the top Living Jedi. Well, who knows - maybe Ol' Darth will have a change of hearth, uh, heart. We'll see next summer won't we. perry kivolowitz (allegra | floyd) ! sbcs ! perry
