People got so much into the author's sex discussion that they never gave an opinion on her silly story; so, all she could do was giggle. Anyway, I have had a similar experience. I AM A MALE. I have been married almost seven years now, and we are still VERY happy together (for those of you who were curious, we do fight sometimes, but always try to talk things out as soon as possible). Back when I was single but engaged, I moved from Cornell up to Rochester to work. A few months later, a young woman moved in to my apartment building, and I offered her any help she needed in getting settled (no inferences, please). The first week she was there, I invited her up to my apt. for dinner. During this time, my fiancee (150 miles away) called, and I asked her to call back because I had this other woman over for dinner right now. After the initial shock of that response, things started going pretty well. The two got to meet eventually, and I told my fiancee that, although, I did at times find this woman attractive, there was need to worry about competition. Well, my fiancee and my aprtment pal soon got to be great friends. The latter got married a few years after we did, and the two 'girls' now work at the same place. She and her husband are some of our closest friends. Interestingly enough, we are each expecting our first child now! Is there a point to all this? Well, yes. Relationships such as these ARE possible, but I can't blame people for being suspicious (some of my acquaintances were shocked by the "dinner episode"). I myself sometimes found it hard to keep the relationship at a platonic level, but I always did, knowing it was best that way (I do NOT feel I married the wrong woman). Whew! Well, I'd love to hear more discussion on this. With aching fingers, Jim Heliotis
