I have received about eight responses to my potluck proposal for the
Western Chicago suburbs.  In the mean time, Billie Goldstein has
organized a similar event in North/Central NJ area.  I apologize for
being so late in following this up.  I will provide a list of hardware,
software, and personal excuses to those who are interested.

For lack of a better date, I suggest we meet on Sunday 11/14 out of
conformity.  If you can't make it, mail me a list of days and
likelyhood that you couldn't make it.  I don't want to settle on a
place to meet until we get a better idea how many people are comming.
The eight who've responded would be cramped in my 1br apartment.  I
will look into some public places like the back room at the Four Lakes
Pub, Route 53 and Maple Ave. in Lisle.  I'll continue to look in the
Lisle area unless I get a lot of complaints.  Suggestions are welcome.

Most of the people who've responded so far are (or seem to be?) male.
Let's get some more women involved.  Spread the word to co-workers who
don't read net.singles!  Print posters!  Use your imagination!  Then
all I'll have to do is convince Dave Ihnat to come so that I won't be
the only person there who doesn't work for Bell.

This may be the last public announcement of this potluck, tell me soon
if you are interested.  I'll mail details to those who respond.
Ineptitude in the kitchen is no excuse.  Tell me that you want to be
there and I'll come up with something that you can bring.  Lets have
a good turnout and show those NJ'er that we know how to potluck!
