In our society, we learn that looks count and that the best women to have are found in Playboy and the like. The first girl I ever asked out was a doll, and she turned me down because I am not very good looking (I know this only because one of her friends told me this) and it turned me off from pretty girls. I didn't ask another girl out for three years because of this, but when I did, she was a very pretty girl. Since then, I have dated girls that were pretty, and thought that I was falling in love, but after asking myself why, I realized that any girl can look pretty if she applies herself. My girlfriend is not beautiful from a physical standpoint, but is very attractive when she tries to be (mainly when we go out, otherwise it doesn't matter that much). You can't reverse what society has taught you, so quit worrying about whether or not you can get that Playboy centerfold and worry about what you need from a relationship. There you can find love, whatever it is. David Elliott PS-I know I ramble a lot, but I can't help it.
