Not only is electronic mail a better medium for communication
with social friends than US mail or the telephone, but more!
I had a friend here who graduated and moved 2000 miles away.
I seem to talk with her more now than I did when she was around,
all by network mail.  Is this related to the phenomenon in some
offices where they have good mail programs that people tend
to send messages to people in the next office rather than
get up, walk ten steps and talk to them?
