I have been reading (with some interest, I might add), this newsgroup,
and have been thouroughly enjoying its contents. So, I decided that
since I am single, I am entitled to submit some thoughts of my own.
First of all, I will say that I think I am part of the younger set
that contributes to net.singles. I am a SWF, 23 years of age, and so
far, never married, although most of my friends have been married and
divorced at least once. (Maybe that's why I'm not married!). I think
there is a lot of single people who feel the way I do. We see so many
"good" marriages that break up, that we're too afraid to try it.

As for men who cook, I would love to have a man who can really cook! I
enjoy cooking as long as I have someone special to cook for. I love to
cook a romantic dinner with the music, candles, and all that, but I 
would really enjoy having that done for me occasionally. 

As for the Ellen and Gordon "net.soap", I agree that Ellen should have
found a better way to vent her frustrations. The net.singles is no
place to sound off at anyone---much less an "ex". If Ellen wanted to
say those things to Gordon, she should have done it in a more discreet
and private manner. So much for my opinion! I just kinda wanted to
meet everybody and get acquainted, and no, I am NOT afraid to sign my
name-------
