The purely impossible happened right here while we weren't looking, and golly gee, no fireworks, explosions, mass hysteria, or anything!!!!! You know, I am pretty sure I know why the subject article was written, but golllllyy, batman, what is so sure-fire unbelievable and incredible about two human beings getting together socially with no particular aim at all (or for that matter, no particular ideas of what to avoid!)???? I do not address anyone specifically, rather a undercurrent I suspect, when I ask that we all rid ourselves of preconcieved notions of what meetings between ostensibly single people must be like... if you have any doubts that this exists, check recent submissions to net.misc - I don't read that group often, but I've noticed several attacks on net.si* over there... In fact, and here's a real shocker for y'all, two avid readers of this newsgroup actually met in central NJ last month, and, get this, both are still alive, healthy, and single!!! Yes, it has happened before!!! I am reminded of the Firesign Theatre routine.... (... was walking along on his way to work, and NOTHING HAPPENED! "Good Morning, Enid") Well, sorry for the slightly sarcastic, obscure nature of this, but I think we've all seen and felt enough of this attitude... anyway, I'm about out of fuel for my flame, and it's starting to go out. As usual, responses may be directed anywhere you like. Michael Sajor zeppo!mes BTL-WhippanyNJ
