This is to be used as reference throughout life. Bad === - When the car breaks down, how do you get it to the garage; how do you get to work, who can you blame for abusing it? - You tend to spend money on frivolous things, impulsively. Like computer terminals... - You come home from work and find that you don't want to go shopping for food, and end up eating fast-food stuff most of the time. Days later, when you open the refrigerator, you regret it. - No one monitors the supply of toilet paper. - You get wrapped up in a half-day procrastination cycle. Things which in the evening seem to be better left for doing the next day, come daytime seem too trivial to interrupt work for. - You find yourself awake at two o'clock in the morning, night after night. Good ==== - You can come home after work and chose privacy. The discovery of how valuable this is often comes too late. - You can spend money, impulsively, on frivolous things. - You don't have to take out the garbage until it blocks the refrigerator. - Life is somewhat autocratic. You don't have to explain yourself; don't have to collaborate on every effort and decision. Mark Mallett P.S.: Essay question: Decide whether or not this is serious, humorous, or some of each.
