I hope not. If you and your spouse could not settle something like a misunderstanding about who would do the laundry, then you marriage is utterly *doomed*. Problems like this come up all the time, especially in the first several years of marriage, until each one settles into what he/she feels comfortable doing for the household, although some chores are toss-ups forever. If you think there is any reasonable chance you can predict these things enough to put them in a contract, when you are only engaged (unless you've been living together for 10 years), YOU'RE NUTS. This really burns me up! Please, fellow married types: I never thought I was such a great person becuase I could work out a solution to who does the laundry when it comes up in daily life -- am I that unique?!? Jim Heliotis
