Please mentally change the phrase in the last paragraph of my previous message.
I have recently taken a hard stance in favor of proper grammar, and I want to 
make sure I cover myself.

Should read:  "Can you imagine some emotionally charged situation like
PEOPLE'S discussing their recent divorces....".  Obviously the subject of a
gerund phrase is in the possessive form.  Forgive me.
