	I think Richard Moorman's analysis of the reasons for flaming
are really pretty close to the truth, but I hope that the people in 
this newsgroup don't take his advice that we scream at each other,
at least 'in public'.  I certainly have no wish to be roasted if I have
a problem that I want to share with the group. It shouldn't be too hard
to see that there is a difference between intelligent, supportive
discussion and defensive outbursts. To infer that flaming should be
encouraged because it's inevitable is more of a self-fulfilling
prophecy than a generalization of the way people communicate.
