My gratitude to alice!rhm for expressing his sympathy for my quandary
in seeking a proper resting place for a followup to his article in a
now-defunct newsgroup.

Just before net.db suffered its (to borrow research!dmr's phrase)
"premature demise," I proposed broadening net.db's charter to encompass
ALL dead topics.  I noted that it could then serve as the net.followup
to net.suicide.

Little did I imagine that just the opposite would so soon come to pass!
