When has Hawkeye ever saluted? More times than you might think.
The most memorable of course, is the salute to a departing Radar
O'Reilly. Hawkeye also salutes Father Mulcahy when he is promoted
to captain.These are the only two respectful salutes that I can 
think of. And I can't remember all the times he has given sarcastic
or disgusted salutes to various visiting officers , not to mention
Burns and Houlihan (weren't they the perfect couple?). 

Here's a couple more questions.
1) What character has been played by two different actors? 
    (Not including the original movie version)
2) What actor has played two characters?
    (This should be easy.)
3) What was the name of the English guy with the big mustache
   that was around when Trapper John and Spearchucker were around?
    (I haven't the foggiest but I am curious.)
