The question? Oh, yeah, the question was, "What was different about the opening of the first MASH TV show?" And the answer is (envelope please; Maestro, could we have a drum roll?): In the opening of the very first MASH TV show, before you hear the theme song or see the helicopters come over the ridge, there is a scene with Radar catching a football; as he catches it, he turns somewhat toward the camera, stops, says something like "Here they come", someone else then says "Where", he says "Wait for it", and THEN the theme "Suicide is Painless" starts up and you see the helicopters come over the ridge. Has anyone else noticed this? No one sent me a right answer. A lot of people thought that the theme wasn't played in the first show's opening. I first noticed it out in California while in Grad school; there were a couple of channels out there that showed MASH re-runs, and being an addict, I would watch it every chance I got. Naturally, the first show was shown more than once, so I got a couple of chances to verify the singularity. Trivially yours, Doug Burton inuxc!burton
