I understand that mpx files are going away with 4.2bsd.  I'm coding
something right now that uses mpxio, and I'd rather write it in terms
of the new IPC facilities.  Has anyone thought of (and maybe even
written) a compatibility package, to ease the changeover?  4.2bsd is
allegedly coming out in only 2 months!
