The NIC is actually tasked with collecting such info around the net. However, there is so much happening on the VAXes that we would be hard put to keep up with it all. I would like to see such a collection and would like it to be maintained on the NIC machine, for which I can provide space. I would also like to have some coordination as to how the info is collected. What happens is everyone starts going around collecting everything and the people who provide the info start saying 'enough, already!'. So that is the concern. Stew, did you have in mind to have people respond to INFO-VAX. That would make sense since the interest group already exists and probably has as members most of the interested parties. Think the idea of sharing the outcome with DECUS is also a good one, assuming they are interested which I am sure they are. Regards, Jake Feinler/NIC -------
