I have made inquiries with (a) banks in the Boston Area, and (b) Cessna
Finance Corp. about financing a small airplane.  Everyone I talked to
was willing to finance 80% of the purchase price, exclusive of sales
taxes, at a rate which was not excessive, but more than for a new car or
house.  No other charges ("points") were added.

Today I noticed that some local (L.A.) banks offer what are called RV
(recreational vehicle) loans.  Well, an airplane IS a vehicle.  Maybe
they can be convinced.
