Another 'good' word that I discovered while tip-toe-ing through the
dictionary is:

     FUG     n [prob. alter. of fog]: an odorous emanation; esp:
     the stuffy atmosphere of a poorly ventilated space --- fuggy
     adj
     FUG     v fugged; fugging vi: to loll indoors in a stuffy
     atmosphere ~ vt: to make stuffy and odorous
