For those of you who haven't heard, this movie stars Nick Nolte & Eddie Murphy and is billed as an "Action Comedy". There's certainly lots of action (shoot outs, car chases, blood, etc.), there's also some good laughs. In short, everything the reviewers are saying is true. Nolte & Murphy work well together and bring a certain newness to a well worn story. I was constantly reminded of the old Dirty Harry movies with Clint Eastwood, but I think Nolte played a more realistic character. This brings me to my one gripe. Murphy is getting a lot of credit for his work here (his movie debut), and he deserves it. He was very good. Nolte on the other hand seems to be getting only honourable mention. I feel he was also very good. My beef is with the reviewers not with the movie itself. I've only been paying attention to movie reviews for the past two years or so so I don't know how Noltes previous efforts have been recieved (comments please), but I get the impression this guy is really underated (more comments please). So much for flameing. If you like lots of action and your'e not too squeemish, see this movie.
