What a fun time we had watching. I can think of some attributes of the viewer that might help him enjoy it more: (1) being married, and knowing what it is to deal with in-laws, (2) familiarity with the LA lifestyle, and (3) familiarity with wintertime in Buffalo. I can answer 'yes' to all 3, so maybe that's why I liked it. I must add, however, that the entire audience was laughing unconrollably in many parts! Reynolds was ideal for his role, and I was relieved to see all the vestiges of the blond air-head image gone from Hawn's character. The movie seriously explores several aspects of married life rather well. Possible best scene: The playpen scene Little trivia quiz: Where have you seen the guy's mother before? Jim Heliotis
