No one seems to have remembered the fact that the Russians lost
some astronauts to decompression.  Their landings are over land and are
automated, so it wasn't till the capsule was opened that they were found
to be dead.  I'm not sure if we (the West) ever found out if the decompression
they suffered was "explosive" or gradual, but the victims reportedly suffered
no visible external damage and appeared outwardly to be peacefully asleep.
