I really like having pets around the house,  "loving"  types
[dogs,  cats]  more so than gerbils, for example (please, no
nasty notes from gerbil lovers).

Because I'm single, I  am not around the house very much.  I
don't  think  I can  responsibly care for a pet,  although I
would very much like to.  What I would like to know is - how
do  single people  manage  to  take  care of pets (or  don't
they)?

Earth shaking replies could be posted to the net; otherwise,
try mail, and if anybody is interested, I will summarize the
replies a little later.
