A man and woman live next door to me.  They use their own names and are
not married.  Each has a reasonable job and I don't think they plan to
marry at all.  They save quite a bit on taxes.  Isn't it a silly tax
system we have?  Sure you can share with your cohabitor but each person
still has to eat, rent, pay for gas; no different from people renting
apartments to split costs, and they aren't penalized.
