There are yet more good points:

    For compulsive programmers / wizards, staying up into the 
    wee hours is feasible.

    There's no one to wake you up in the morning accidentally
    (assuming you live in a quiet neighborhood and live alone).

    You can watch what-you-want when-you-want on the boob tube.
    Same for stereo.

    Reading books undisturbed for long periods is feasible.

    There's generally a lot more time for personal interests,
    self-improvement in hobbies, etc.

A bad point I can think of:

    There's a lot less friendly discussion about random topics.
