The general consensus is be careful not to be used on the rebound, "Gee, thanks for helping me get over this, bye". (Personal note to Ken: I forgot to mention, no, it is not Joyce nor Springfield) ANYWAY, if the PROBLEM is being used on the rebound: a) How do you tell the signs. b) HOW DO YOU PREVENT IT? c) If it starts happening, how do you get her to sit back and re-evaluate from "shove off, but thanks" ; to - "hey this is a neat person, we can get something going here, even if I have just been through hell"??
