The other possibility for someone "on the rebound" is that they will feel
dependant on an intimate relationship and will rush into a new one immediately.
I think it would be more healthy for the person to feel slightly "gun shy".

She probably needs more of a friend than a romantic interest.  But then again
what is love but a mature friendship?
