When I was in college, I went out with a woman who had just broken
off an engagement.  When I first met her, she was engaged and then
came one day in which she said she wasn't.  Well, we started going out
and did so for three months.  After that time, she told me that she was
getting real serious about somebody else and under very embarrassing
circumstances told me she just wanted to be friends.  Then two
weeks later she called me and wanted to me to know that we could be
"more than friends again".  I, however, had learned my lesson and
never asked her out again.  She is marked as a flake in my book.

As a post-script, she called me six-months
after that to remind me she was still available.
