Regarding Britrail and Irish ferry info:
If you go through a Thomas Cook travel agency, they will have Britrail
schedules.  You can sometimes talk them into letting you look at them in
their office even if you're a non-customer (i.e. you got your airline
tickets elsewhere).  Since they're British-based, they are a good source
for this sort of thing.
