We would prefer something device-independent and written in C if we can get it. We will mainly be generating geographical maps and plotting customized symbols upon them, but we will also need to produce standard and custom 2-D plots and charts. These graphics will be displayed on an as yet unprocured color graphics terminal and color line printer. Any info on software and particularly the existence out there of a complete system similar to this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
