There was some discussion a while back about field mods to VAX 11/780's
which caused UNIX 3.0 (System III) to cease working.  At the time,
we had no need for the info; but now the question has come up again.
Does anyone have details about the problem and/or fixes to UNIX or
the hardware which will bypass it?  Thanks--
