Von Rospach Date: 23 December 1982 00:58-EST This may be a DUMB question, but here goes: I have been looking for a way to gather certain statistics on the system (such as memory, disk, and processor usage). I know they can be generated, because df and vmstat do. Unfortunately, I do not have a source license at this time, so I can't simply go digging. My boss wants some reasonable figures for capacity planning, and I would rather go to the source than trying to parse vmstat output or something strange. I cannot find any documentation on where these values can be generated from, although I am assuming they are somewhere in /dev/kmem. Someone out there want to clue a poor underfed systems programmer in? Where can I get ahold of what is available in the system? chuck (chuqui at mit-mc)
