Efforts to salvage the orbit of the TDRS-1 satellite were
hampered today by the discovery of apparent damage to one
or two of the sixteen station holding thrusters of the
satellite.  NASA said that the new development will
delay the expected attempt at raising its orbit by
several weeks while scientists figure out what to do about
the problem.
