I was greatly impressed by the widely-held opinion that I should refrain from poisoning the little buggers, and that education for my wife and kids is the best solution; I whole-heartedly agree. And, as it turns out, there are at least two bee-keeper folks within a 1-mile radius of my house (fringe suburb/country area of Beaverton, Ore.). But that brings up another question: I want to keep the leaf- and fruit-eating bugs off of the tree. If I spray for them, when can I do it to make sure I don't poison the bees, and what is a recommended chemical (yes, I AM going to spray for THESE bugs)? keith ericson, teklabs
