Time to let you know how the voting came out in this year`s pick the oscars
contest.  There were a total of 40 votes cast, not too bad.  Some peop,le
didn`t vote in all categories, with Best Song getting the most NONE votes.
In summary, the totals showed:

Picture - A three way tie for first! GANDHI, TOOTSIE and E.T. each got 11
	  votes.
Actor   - Ben Kingsley fans put on a late surge to defeat Dustin Hoffman
	  19 - 13.
Actress - Meryl Streep won by a landslide, with 24 votes.  Jessica Lange
	  and Debra Winger were closest with just 4.
Sup Actor - Louis Gossett a hands down victor, 22 votes.  James Mason and
	    John Lithgow were 2nd with 5 apiece.
Sup Actress - Jessica Lange, in the 3rd runaway, had 23 votes.  Teri Garr
		was 2nd with 5
Director - Richard Attenborough(Gandhi) nosed out Steven Speilberg(E.T) 16-10
Song	 - Up Where We Belong got a bunch of late votes to get past Eye Of
	   The Tiger 16-12.  It Might Be You got 4 votes, its recent
	   appearance on the radio obviously providing some help.

Now we`ll just have to wait till Monday night to see how the net does.
The winner of the contest will be posted sometime Tuesday.
