To me the real scandal of the whole Oscar process this year was the lack
of nominations for the film "Diner."  One measly "Best Original Screenplay"
(okay, okay, a nice enough award) nomination -- that it didn't even win!

Maybe I should be happy that I'm so far out of touch with the Academy's
tastes in films.
