	It all depends on whether you read books to observe character
growth (LOTR and such - surface writing), or read books for personal
growth (Donaldson, Zelazny, ...).
	I personally like books that take you through the psyche of the
character and let you look out from his/her eyes, rather than books that 
merely let you wear the same clothes. I also don't shun an opportunity to
increase my vocabulary. All personal opinion of course...
