	I'm kinda stupid sometimes myself, but it surely seems to me that to 
make a lifetime commitment DOESN'T mean to "forgo, in advance, the possibility
of growing at different rates or in different directions".  I've never been
in ANY relationship that didn't involve growing at different rates and in all
kinds of different directions!  In fact, the strongest, longest-lasting 
relationships have involved (and still do involve) the most growing.  Perhaps 
I'm just an anachronism, but I feel lifetime marriage will be pleasantly 
applicable to me someday...  and when it is, it will be because my partner
and I want to keep in touch with each other, love and help each other as we
BOTH grow!!
