Could someone give a physical description of the new sponge
contraceptive?  I mean, what shape is it, does it have a supporting
skeleton like a diaphragm?  Is it flat? round?  I haven't seen this
discussed in the news, though they do say it is a combination of a
physical barrier and a chemical sperimicidal agent.

I have to know this so that I can recognize the things when they
wash up at the beach.

Who came up with the name "nonoxynol?"  I think it's one of the great
works of modern chemical naming.
