How appropriate to read an article concerning 'i still [like] you, damn you'
when, as it turns out, such a letter is running through my head.
As it turns out, the dear old Bell System, has me out in Sunnyvale, Ca (any
net.single'rs out this way, feel free to write); but for some reason, this 
letter is going through my head.

Note that I use the phrase 'running through my head', 'going through my head'
because I have learned NOT to send them either.
I totally agree with the premis that the therapy is in the writing, not the mailing.
I would say that those types of letters are mailed in a last ditch attempt to
attempt to modify someone's behavior.
Of course, "they never do".
