A variant of it is the cover art for the glossy blurb for the book that Addison- Wesley just sent me. In the background, we have an assortment of dinosaurs with labels like "OS/360", "SCOPE", and "MULTICS". Somewhat closer up, we have a wooly [sp?] mammoth labelled "OS/MVS" and another extinct mammal [whose name I forget] labelled "VMS". Finally, up front, we have one of those little extinct horses, labelled "CP/M", and... a hairy bipedal ape, with a smile on its face, labelled "UNIX".
