I have installed an updated version of the "news" facility;  among
other things, it should be considerably faster.  About the only real
difference you will see if you just read the news is that the format
of the headers on messages is somewhat different.  In particular, for
the moment, the sender's name is marked "Path" instead of "From";  this
may get fixed shortly.
