Just recently a friend asked me to recommend an integrated or 
separate amplifier system to replace his 4-year-old Kenwood 8100
integrated amp. He seems willing to spend about $350-$400, aided
by a decent trade-in on the Kenwood. I told him that he would
probably end up staying with another integrated amp, since there
aren't too many preamp-amp combinations for under $400. As far as
brands go, I've mentioned Nikko and Yamaha. I'd like to pass on more
comments from you all out there in net-land. Please reply by mail.
