Well, one good thing about the CD is that it provides a very high quality
medium (like supervinyl disk or open reel tape) in a small package (like
a cassette, only better).  Anyone care to guess when the playback technology
will improve enough to allow an ``economical'' CD ``walk-thing'' ?  Or even
a small portable the size of, say, a large textbook?
