I was "slickered" into trying Slick 50 by a very trustworthy Volvo
mechanic (he had gotten over 20% gas mileage increase on his
64 Volvo).  I put it in my 77 Chev 4wd PU.  Result?  Zero mileage
increase.  I was desperate for any help, as the beast gets only about
9-10mpg in normal (non-4wd) driving.  The mechanic gave me my money
back, though, so all was not lost.  He said that he had talked lots of
his customers into trying it after his own success, and inexplicably it
worked for a small percentage of cars, but on the whole was a total
failure.
