Iv'e been following with interest the net.cycle Harley/tariff issue.
The "Harley second bike" item posted by Mike Lynch finally prompted
me to respond. You see, I am actually living his "secret" desire,
with one hitch. I own 2 Harleys and 2 Yamahas, but the Yamahas are
my "second" bikes.
     I am the first to admit that Harleys aren't for everyone but it
takes more than reading a road test or a ride around the block to
realistically make that decision. For those of us who live with
them, these machines are absolutely addictive.
     Why do I own 2 Yamahas ?  Because, for me, when I ride I prefer
to ride a Harley. In a situation that may be compromised by bad
weather or the possibility of theft, a disposable Japanese bike
is ideal.
