I believe it mention that compilers exist for the data general eclipse. if it was not that journal, then I saw it in a revised version of it in a magazine called The Engineer (I think) published by Western Electric. Therefore I am 99% sure that said compiler exists somewhere within Bell Labs. One might try the AT&T licensing folks.
