	Almost a year of digging has resulted in an amazing
	archaeological find, according to researchers at
	Bell Laboratories in Holmdel.

	Known as "Project Folklore" within the lab, this 
	group of scientists has painstakingly removed layer
	after layer of earth from the south side of the 
	Holmdel facility.  After several attempts to recreate
	the prehistoric swamp-like environment of ancient
	New Jersey, scientists have halted activity as they
	ponder new relics that have just been uncovered.

	"Our latest excavation has uncovered footprints of
	a manlike creature in a layer of mud.", says
	Dr. B. G. Foote.  "All we know at this time is that
	the creature was of medium build and rather pigeon-toed."

	According to an official press release from AT&T,
	the footprints "appear to be from an ancient epoch",
	"[possibly] from the pre-transistor era".

	Digging will resume after samples of the footprints are
	examined by scientific creationists and the National
	Enquirer.
