This will be my only comment about this.  All other comments, including
my own, should be continued in net.flame.

In a group such as net.jokes, the purpose is to have some fun by sharing
jokes, riddles, and other forms of humor with one another.  I am a notoriously
bad speller.  Whether this is the fault of my teachers, myself, my parents
or the United States of America does not matter, but I cannot spell.  I am
a frequent contributor to net.jokes.  If you people would like me to stop
contributing because you don't like my jokes that is one thing.  But to flame
about mine, or anyone else's spelling, grammar, or whatever, is asinine.

When you get an official letter from me written for my company, it will be
spelled properly, because I use the interactive spelling checker option of
our word processor.  If I am trying to get credit from you, I will check my
spelling to make sure that I don't give you the wrong impression of me.  If
I am telling you a damn joke to entertain you, I don't think that I have to
take the time to either run it against spell, an annoying program at best,
or take the time to check against a paper dictionary, or say to one of my
friends, "excuse me, Guy, how do you spell technoid?"  If I had to do that
I would decide not to submit at all, and all of you people would never have
heard of Sam Clam.

All right, enough of that topic.  My last point is that if I were submitting
this article to net.lang, that I would feel that you were completly justified
in your attack, and I do mean attack.  Since this was instead submitted to a
news group whose only purpose in life is to entertain, I don't feel that your
comments were justified.  I am sorry to take up everyone's time with this, but
I did not feel that I could remain quiet on this issue.
