Bad spelling really bothers me. When I run across a mistake, it makes me stop and interrupts my train of thought. Worse, if I see a mistake often enough, I start to think it is correct. My ability to spell "weird" has almost been destroyed by reading the news. Needless to say, this distresses me. I keep a dictionary by my terminal and I use it. Give it a try. The more words you look up, the more you will know, and it will get easier and easier. If you don't give a darn about your spelling because you know it's bad, it will always be bad, but if you care, you will get better. I will just briefly reiterate the point that articles with obvious mistakes in them automatically have little credibility with me.
