It seems a bit silly to perpetuate an outmoded RT-11 like user interface. For all those applications written in BASIC, I would say that it makes more sense to write a 68000 BASIC that is compatible with the popular CBASIC and MBASIC interpreters and put it on top of a decent OS. Don't confuse most BASIC applications (which really know nothing nor care anything about CP/M) with CP/M itself.
